About Solitaire
Solitaire — specifically the Klondike variant played here — is one of the most-played card games in history, largely because Microsoft bundled it with Windows starting in 1990, both to keep new PC users entertained and, famously, to teach an entire generation how to use a mouse to drag and drop. Long before that, Klondike had already been a staple of card players for over a century, working through a shuffled 52-card deck alone rather than against an opponent.
The deal is always the same: seven tableau columns holding 1 through 7 cards each (only the last card in each column face-up), a stock pile of the remaining 24 cards, and four empty foundation piles waiting to be built up by suit from Ace to King. You move cards between tableau columns in descending order with alternating colors (a red 7 onto a black 8, for instance), move whole valid sequences at once, and send eligible cards up to their foundation as soon as they're exposed. Draw from the stock to reveal new options in the waste pile, and once a full column empties out, only a King can start a new one there. This version deals one card at a time from the stock rather than three, which keeps more of the deck genuinely playable and gives you a noticeably higher win rate than the traditional draw-three rule — a deliberate choice for shorter, more satisfying mobile sessions. Full undo support means a wrong move never costs you the game, just a moment's thought.
How to Play
- 1Tap a face-up card to select it, then tap a destination column or foundation to move it there
- 2Build tableau columns downward in alternating colors (e.g. a red 6 on a black 7)
- 3Only a King (or a sequence starting with one) can be placed on an empty tableau column
- 4Build each foundation pile upward by suit, starting with the Ace
- 5Tap the stock pile to draw a new card into the waste pile; once the stock is empty, tap it again to recycle the waste

Tips & Strategy
- Uncover face-down cards as early as possible — every hidden card is information and options you don't have yet.
- Don't rush cards to the foundations the moment they're eligible; keeping a low card in the tableau sometimes opens up more useful moves first.
- Prioritize moves that flip a face-down card over moves that just shuffle already-visible cards around.
- Try to keep at least one tableau column open or close to open — an empty column is one of your most powerful tools for temporarily parking cards.
- When the stock runs out, take a moment to plan before recycling the waste — you'll see the same draw order again.

What's the difference between Solitaire and Klondike?
